The comma has been selected as a symbolic reference to Gracie Allen's reminder to 'Never place a period where God has placed a comma.''God is still speaking'

Sing to the Lord a New Song, For He Has Done Marvelous Things! Make a Joyful Noise to the Lord, All Ye Lands!  Serve the Lord with Gladness: Come Before His Presence with Singing!

These words from Psalms 98 and 100 show excitement! They are the words of one who, upon catching a glimpse of the incredible glory and goodness of God, invites everyone to participate in the praising and honoring of God. Giving God glory is best accomplished by using one's whole self - one's body, mind and spirit. Singing is one activity which beautifully blends all three parts of a person into a unified whole. It is obvious that one's body is used in singing since one's own person becomes, in effect, a musical wind instrument. Singing bridges and connects the gap between the mind's understanding of God and the emotional experiences of God one feels in a beautiful and profound way. When these different parts of a person are connected, that person can be put in touch with the awesome mystery of who and what God really is, and learn a bit about themselves at the same time!

Christianity has been called a singing faith. Throughout its history, psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs have been part of its life and worship. The following music program is for the purpose of fostering and encouraging a musical response of faith and praise. This purpose is threefold:
1.    Educational:     To learn the language of music.
2.    Spiritual:           To experience the living faith found in sacred music.
3.    Service:            The use of musical abilities within the life of the church's worship and fellowship.
