'God is still speaking'

Rally Day

Our church year begins on Rally Day, a September day for the congregation to "rally" back for the start of the church year, summer vacation memories fresh in mind, church camp over, and a time of rededication to our life together. Rally Day is picnic, and games, and fellowship all rolled into one. After worship in the sanctuary, we proceed to a local park for the afternoon. Beginning in 2002, we started a new tradition of Convocation Weekend, with guest speakers and worship Saturday night in the sanctuary before, and a guest minister focusing us on the coming year. But the Rally Day picnic remains the highlight of the after-worship fellowship.
