Memorial Walkway Project

In August Bob Bragg and crew removed the tar walkway leading to the front doors of the sanctuary. Generous donations from church members and friends paid for engraved masonary and granite bricks to replace the tar with a new Memorial Walkway. Ted Johnson prepared and laid out the new plan for the walkway and a band of volunteers came together one Saturday morning to do the work.
On each side of the walkway we have laid bricks with the names of all our settled pastors from 1837 to 2009. This is our first "historical" endeavor leading to the 175th celebration (in 2012) of the founding of South Church in 1837.
